Lower North Island Sales Representative – Palmerston North
Farmchief Machinery Ltd have an exciting opportunity to join our busy team as Lower North Island Sales Representative.
This role is based in our Palmerston North branch. This established branch has a very experienced service technician onsite.
While developing and maintaining existing relationships, you will be expected to generate new business, reach regional monthly targets and contribute to the overall company goals.

We’re looking for someone who loves to seek new opportunities and turn them into results. It’s a busy role, and we’ll expect you to fit a lot into your day – so, you’ll need to be well-planned and efficient in your approach to your work and be flexible and adaptable to the various demands of the role.
Building relationships is a key part of this role, as you’ll be dealing with a wide variety of customers – and will need to be able to adapt to their individual needs. You need proven sales and customer service skills and experience in a fast-paced environment will be the key to success.
Finally, you’ll have the ability to work autonomously but will also be committed to supporting your wider team, going above and beyond to contribute effectively to team success.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven sales experience – You’ve demonstrated success in sales (Agricultural experience is essential).
- A drive to achieve and a hunger for success.
- A passion for building relationships and delivering results.
- Exceptional communication skills that keep customers engaged and eager to buy.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process
- Own each opportunity from creation to completion
- Take full responsibility for each part of the pipeline
- Persuasiveness and Tenacity in chasing opportunities
- A full, clean NZ driver’s license and the right to work in NZ
